12 year old Dylan is showing the Phantom 45 Jump Start Pack, a top quality 45 liter (3000 cubic inch), pack which houses a 3 season tent and includes a 20 degree sleeping bag. In the front view, on the left, you can see the shoulder and belt straps. Typical for many boys this age Dylan is slender requiring the straps to be cinched almost all the way up. However, even with his slender build the pack fits him well. In the rear view notice the pockets and straps for tacking on gear that you may not want in your pack. |

Dylan is setting the tent poles into their ring and pin sets. This is a very simple setup process for younger people whose main purpose for camping is to setup in as little time as possible and go play. Gotcha coverd Dylan. |
|
The second part of setup is clipping the tent to the poles. Slick as a whistle. Notice that Dylan's backpack is still attached to the body of the tent. This is as its designed. The only time we suggest you disconnect it is for cleaning or when you are camping in bear country. When its time to move on simply take down the tent and roll it right back into the backpack. |

Dylan is checking out the rain fly. Although not always necessary to pack it along, your rain fly sure comes in handy when the weather suddenly changes on you. |
|
After putting on the rain fly the last hold-down is attached. |

Once Dylan rolls up the fly door he's ready to roll out his sleeping bag. |

Sitting in the tent with sleeping bag ready to roll out. With your tent setup, the backpack can sit inside the rain fly vestibule, as shown here, or come inside the tent. Either way the door zips shut. |
